About Kombat
Hi! My name's Kombat. I'm an Engineer/Producer born and raised in the Bay Area. I fell in love with music at the early age of 5, always listening to new songs or finding some type of instrument to play. I eventually took on DJing in high school to further my career in music, which led me to move out of town and attend Pinnacle College, where I obtained my degree in Music Production & Recording Arts. In school, I fell in love with audio engineering! From getting the best takes out of artists while recording them to the meticulous details of mixing and mastering, I found my passion for music production!
After I graduated, I decided to move back in with my parents and take a leap of faith to start my recording studio, "Infinite Rhythm." I spent a good 10 years growing, learning, and finding my true niche in the music industry. After obtaining an RIAA Certified Gold Plaque, a hit song, and millions of streams, it was time for something bigger...
A lot of people began asking me for mixing advice, and I thought, why not make some YouTube tutorials? So, I started creating YouTube content specifically for beginning engineers/producers, as well as artists recording themselves at home. I started to think of a better way I could help everyone out. I was very inspired by a lot of "Type" mixing presets that were already out, but felt there was something missing. I feel like it's good to have a sound similar to an artist, but a lot of people want their own original sound. So, I dropped my first series, "Clear Vocal Presets," which came with a variety of different presets that can fit your vocal depending on whether you have a high or low voice, the type of microphone, or even the environment. I'm still continuing this journey as I'm making better and better vocal presets and mixing templates to ensure your song can be mixed with a simple drag and drop!
I love answering any questions you may have about audio engineering, music production, or mixing techniques! Please feel free to contact me on Instagram @kombat_k. Thanks!
